Five Times Make Muslims Unproductive

“Muslims often pray during working hours.”

Dear friends, I understand when you speculate that our worship time interferes with productive hours at work. No other religion has this kind of problem.

Friends, if we argue that worship to our Lord is more important than work, then you will again argue that work is also important because it is God’s way of providing sustenance to His creation.

Surprisingly, both reasons are all true. Such a complex paradox.

But does God apply worship times that interfere with the work activities of His creation?

You need to know, in fact, from the five Muslim worship activities each day, nothing interferes with working time at all.

Morning prayer? Performed when you just wake up.

Zuhr prayer? Performed during work breaks.

Ashar pray? Performed during coffee break.

Maghrib prayer? Performed on the way home from work.

Isha prayer? Performed when you want to sleep.

So which time of our worship interferes with work activities? Even our Lord, Allah Ta’ala Almighty predicts and manages His creation in such a way that His creation has a balanced agenda. He created night so that His creation could rest, He also created day so that His creation could have activities.

If the Earth is tidal lock like the Moon, which one side continues to face the center of its orbit, then the Earth would not have day and night circulation. Or what if God ordained Earth to have more than 100 hours in a day like Venus and Mercury?

That is why our God is very understanding with His own creation so that He regulates the time of worship that does not interfere with His creation’s activity time. And the worship ritual did not last long, only 5 minutes.

But unfortunately, there are still many Muslims themselves who take advantage of the time of worship as a time to idle and act to avoid working hours. We as representatives of Muslims apologize for the behavior of some of our brothers like that.

There is good news for friends, that in Islam, the Prophet Muhammad forbids his followers to be lazy and there are special rewards for those who have worked so hard.

Our Master Muhammad PBUH said,

“Verily, Allah likes servants who work and are skilled. Whoever goes to great lengths to make a living for his family is like a man who jihad in the way of Allah. ” (HR. Ahmad)
