Boost Your Motivation with As-Syarh

My friends who are loved by Allah Ta’ala, you may have felt unmotivated when you were doing something positive or supporting your hobby.

Sometimes, the event of loss of enthusiasm occurs suddenly when you are even in the midst of your activities.

Maybe you have felt that what you are doing will end in vain, even though you have been so excited when you want to start your work.

So how do we deal with this?

There is Surah Al-Insyirah which is a chapter in the Qur’an, which was revealed when the Prophet Muhammad PBUH and the Muslims received ridicule and insults from the disbelievers. Surah Al-Insyirah was sent down as a form of support from Allah Ta’ala so that the Prophet Muhammad always strengthened his heart in preaching.

But we can also use Surah Al-Insyirah as a guide to motivate us to always focus on each of our activities or hobbies as long as it is positive and not against sharia.

The following is an excerpt from Surah Al-Insyirah, which I highlight from verse 5 to 8:

So verily with hardship there is ease, verily with hardship there is ease. So when you have finished (from business/duties), keep working hard (for other matters/worship), and to your Lord direct (your) longing. (Al-Insyirah: 5-8)

My friend, please note that sometimes humans are often bored even though they are in the middle of an activity that they enjoy.

Not infrequently, humans often encounter difficult things that make them doubt whether their hobby will have a good reciprocity for him.

My friends, here Allah Ta’ala has twice emphasized that after difficulties there is ease, so my friends don’t have to worry if you meet a moment where you feel stuck.

Then, after you are done with your activities, do not give free time that makes you daydream and daydream, but continue your other activities as the maximum use of time.

But remember, rest time must still be considered.

Moreover, the verse above emphasizes that we must continue to use our time as well as possible without having to think too much about whether the results will be good or not because it is only in Allah that we hope (tawakkal).

It is like, “there is no result that betrays the effort” as if that is the intent of the verse.

So my friends, keep trying and learning. Don’t give yourself time to fantasize or lament. No need to worry about whether your activities will end well or not, the important thing is that you have to try your best and be persistent.

Then end it with tawakkal, surrender to Allah Ta’ala to hope for good results. Or if the results are still unsatisfactory, InshaAllah, Allah Ta’ala will give us a way to continue to improve our works.
