I once wrote the story of Wita in the following article about her trance experience. I previously mentioned that Wita does have an aura that is liked by spirits, plus, Wita lives in a house that is quite large but all of them are dominated by dark gardens and swamps. As an illustration, Wita’s house is not terraced, but the yard is almost as large as a football field. But unfortunately, most of it only contains trees and marshes. Not to mention there are no neighbors to the west, and at night the area is indeed very dark, only the shadow of the trees standing in the darkness.
Even the lights weren’t enough to help light the rest of the yard.
Wita’s father (late) used to be a follower of the Javanese sect aka Kejawen, the presence of heirlooms around him certainly makes Wita’s house even more creepy. Once upon a time, Wita caught her father wanting to bathe the heirlooms.
From there Wita began to see objects flying around her father, as if “they” was “happy” to see their heirloom being bathed. Energy lights began to appear, colorful lights formed tornadoes of light circling around Wita’s father, emitting strange noises like the sound of fireworks exploding here and there mixed with the sound of a crowd of people speaking in fast, incomprehensible language and a strange intonation.
Suddenly the door slammed and Wita walked away.
Wita and her sister also liked to watch mystery and horror shows that often aired on television stations at that time. One night Wita slept in her room with the lights off. Somehow Wita saw something that was standing in the corner.
Wita, who was curious, turned on the room light. Nothing. Just the corner of the wall. Wita turned off the room lights again, the figure was again visible. The gloomy figure gave off a fishy and putrid smell. Wita saw more and more clearly the form of the figure, his face was really dark and slightly reddish, wrapped in white winding sheet. Wita immediately told her mother in the front room.
“Mom, mom… how come the ghost can come out of the TV?”
Mrs. Wita, who heard this, immediately carried Wita away in her room. As an adult, Wita remembers what happened in her childhood and just realized what she saw at that time was a Pocong, one of scariest ghost in Indonesia, a dead body ghost with dirty white winding sheet and reddish dark face.
Then on another night, Wita and her brother were watching a mystery-themed guts test show. Incidentally, in that episode, there was a flying white spirit caught on camera. Her sister, who realized the existence of this figure, was actually surprised and laughed about the ghost that was clearly caught on camera.
“That! Wita! That! Ha ha ha ha.” Wita’s sister, laughing amusedly, pointed at the ghost on the television, telling Wita.
“That! Hahahaha… hihihihihi… hihihihihihi. ” The older sister laughed incessantly, but at this point, her voice suddenly changed.
After that, her sister began to act erratically, wandering back and forth with very flexible movements. Wita was scared, she was no longer her sister. Until finally Wita realized that something possessed her sister was heading her way.
So Wita screamed after being chased by her sister throughout the house.
Wita finally entered her room, closed the door. But his sister tried to break into his room and banged on the door while laughing with a fast intonation and a voice that was quite shrill and creepy. Wita who was crying tried to call her father who was outside, and Wita had to wait for her father to come home while she was alone in her room, holding the door of the room that was banging on by something that took over her sister.
Then another day, while Wita was playing on the bed in her mother’s room, the wardrobe door suddenly opened itself quickly. The room was closed so there was no wind. Wita didn’t know, but in the wardrobe it looked very dark, except for one woman from inside the wardrobe who was crouched down, calling her name while gesturing with her hand for Wita to enter the closet.
Wita just froze, unable to move at all until finally her mother entered her room. The wardrobe was empty again.
Growing up, Wita’s father became a religious person, leaving behind his former beliefs. However, that does not make Wita’s house any safer, but at least the aura of her father can provide more peace at home.
One evening that was already very dark, Wita washes her car in her very spacious and haunted yard. Someone cleared her throat, Wita ignored. The sound of clearing his throat turned out to be getting clearer and louder. Wita, who was so curious, turned to the corner where there was a coconut tree.
Now in front of her was a large black figure almost as tall as a coconut tree, with the only two large, bright red eyes glared at her. Wita stopped whatever her activities were at that time, walked backwards and ran into her house.
Another night, Wita was enjoying dinner in the family room. For some reason, Wita’s attention was drawn to the living room which was separated by a long, dim hallway. He saw a person, perhaps nearly two meters high.
Whatever it is, he is dark, standing facing Wita with the posture of a half-squatting body with legs wide open to the side. His hands were stretched out while carrying something. Wita just realized that what that figure was carrying was his head, that figure didn’t have a head.
Realizing that Wita was awakened to his presence, the figure began to walk very quickly towards her with half crouched and legs spread sideways. The sound of his footsteps was very loud, “Boog! Boog! Boog!” The gaze from the head hanging on his hand seemed to be threatening, making Wita scream and dropping her dinner plate.
At the same time, the figure disappeared.
When Wita wanted to enter her room, she was once greeted by several white shadows that were not so clearly visible flying around , bouncing on the walls and ceiling of her room. Her room became ‘normal’ again after Wita called her father.
Once upon a time, Wita’s house was robbed by someone. Wita who was afraid was evacuated after the robbery to the house her mother bought which was intended for boarding houses. At that time the house was still not on sale so it was still uninhabited. Wita occupies an empty room on the second floor.
One hot afternoon when Wita just returned to her room and wanted to close the door, a Kuntilanak (woman ghost in long white dress) was squatting with her hair dangling over her face from the corner of the door. Wita, who was probably very tired and still traumatized by the robbery incident, rebuked the ghost for disturbing her and Wita fell asleep with the door open.
Every night during her evacuation, Wita was disturbed by the sound of the door being banged and scratched from the outside and the sound of ladder steps being trampled from outside. Ah, it must be Kuntilanak which seen yesterday, she thought.
Until finally Wita was picked up by her sister and she said, “You really can stand staying in this house.”
Wita was told that the one who made noise on the steps every night was a Pocong jumping up and down on the stairs.
Now, Wita is married and lives in a new place.
